Sequence 03 – Memory 01: This Tyro Captain

Optional Objectives:

  • Shoot an iguana
  • Air assassinate an ocelot

You'll now be in control of your own ship, dubbed the Jackdaw. You're currently in Dry Turtoga region and your destination is Eleuthera. You may encounter enemy ships along the way so be prepared for combat as always. Sail to the destination. Along the way you'll find a small island with an animus fragment and a naval drop. Make sure to stop your ship and get these items along the way.

Head to Abaco Island and dock the ship near the shore. Swim the to shore to update your objectives. You'll have to kill and skin two iguanas and ocelots. You'll need to actively hunt and skin to obtain hunting goods that can be sold or used for crafting. Whenever you fast-travel or leave the island for a while, the fauna will be reset so don't worry about hunting down all available animals in the island.

Head to the only viewpoint in the island to reveal all the collectibles in the area. You can also use your Eagle Vision to tag the wild animals in the island and hunt them. As for your optional objectives, you easily use your gun to hunt them. Iguanas can be caught off guard and routed while you can get to high ground and wait for an ocelot to get in range to air assassinate it.

All collectibles in the area will be marked so gather all of them and hunt all the animals here if you want. After getting the required number of materials, you'll now be able to craft a new holster and a new health upgrade. You can do this from the Start menu. Once you're done, you can use any of the rowboats to return to the ship instantly.

Once back, talk to Adelawe to complete the mission. You'll now need to head to Nassau, directly to the southeast. Abaco Island will become a restricted area and more British boats will be patrolling the area.  Make your way to Nassau afterward.

After reaching the town, you can explore the whole area first before starting the main missions. As you that, prioritize synchronizing the viewpoints first to reveal the entire area. For all the collectibles, you can refer to the dedicated pages in this guide.
