Sequence 04 – Memory 04: Overrun and Outnumbered

Optional Objectives:

  • Use sleep darts on 8 guards
  • Use berserk darts on 2 guards

 

This will start immediately. Follow Kidd to start a cutscene and to receive a blowpipe. This is silent ranged weapon that can use sleep or berserk darts. For your optional objectives, you have to use this against the indicated number of guards. Start off by taking out the first guard below. Once he's down for a few seconds, Kidd will go down and finish him off. Remember that you can loot the bodies of the enemies you targeted with your darts to recover them.

 

 

The prisoners you'll rescue have guards pointing their guns at them. These are trigger-happy bastards that will shoot instantly at the first sign of danger. Climb the nearby wall and take out the gunner first. Next, kill the lone guard on the ground to the southwest to free the first prisoner and find a chest as well.

 

 

Climb back up to the wall then proceed to the prisoner on the western side, inside a building's position. There you'll find another chest and the prisoner as well. Take out the guard for your convenience.

 

 

Next, use a berserk dart on the gunner on the ground and wait for him to kill at least one of his comrades. You can now go in and use a sleep dart to your advantage or perform a double-assassination. Free up the other prisoners as well. Circle around to the ruins to the north to find yet another lone guard and another prisoner. Take him out away from his comrades and free the prisoner.

 

Now you have free the two prisoners with gunner guarding them. You have to take out the standing guard behind the gunner while the two patrols are away then drag the body to one of the nearby bushes. Use the berserk dart on the gunner and let him kill the two patrols before finishing him off.

 

 

Free the two prisoners and climb up the viewpoint behind them synchronize to fully reveal the island. Perform a leap of faith to the pool below to get another animus fragment. If you go inside the ruins using the entrance beside the pool where you landed, it will lead you to a closed door presumably holding the Mayan Outfit that is appearing in your map. Ignore it for now.

 

 

Head to the north to kill another lone patrol and free the prisoner. Climb up the nearby walls to reach the upper path where there's another patrol you can kill. Follow the downhill path then turn left behind the foliage to find the last chest.

 

 

Continue downhill and you'll find two more guards. Take them out then proceed to the nearby pair of prisoners. Get a good vantage point and use a berserk dart on the gunner again when the patrol is nearby and wait for them to kill each other before performing an air assassination against the last man standing. Free up the prisoners immediately and hide before the gunner in the nearby tower spots you.

 

 

Proceed to the northeast and hide behind the bush beside the tower to take out the lone patrol there. Climb the nearby tower and quickly take out the gunner and release the prisoner. You'll be most likely spotted by the other gunner in the other tower so just run across the nearby rope or just jump to the ground and hide in the bushes.

 

 

Now circle again to the northeast using the concealed path to the north and get near the next set of prisoners. Use a berserk dart on one of the guards, let them kill each other and take out the last one. Rescuing this bunch completes your quota and will trigger a cutscene.

 

While talking to Kidd, the assassin contracts around the region will be revealed and the mission will be complete. The next mission is in Nassau but before going there, get the last collectibles you haven't collected in the area and talk to Kidd again to begin a Templar Hunt.

 

Well, not really. He'll lead you inside the ruins holding the Mayan Outfit. Examine the door to put in a Mayan Stone. You have to find all the remaining stones in various Stealaes scattered around the world. Once done, your business here will be complete for now.
