This mission takes place twelve years ago, when Rorke is still part of the Ghosts. You'll be controlling Elias Walker. After dropping off from the helicopter, follow your teammates and take cover behind the allied tank while you clear the enemy position across the street. After a short while, a couple of enemy tanks will arrive and destroy your allied tank. Stay in cover and wait as another allied tank arrive and engage the two enemy armor.
Run towards the collapsed building and continue inside. You'll reach an enemy checkpoint. Wait for an allied air strike before engaging the enemies below. Prioritize taking out the RPG troopers in the balcony ahead. Next, you have to disable the mobile rocket launcher. Climb up the truck and melee-kill the soldier who opened the hatch.
Fight your way through the street to reach the next mobile rocket launcher. A missile will fire and hit the dam when you're about to disable the launcher. Run towards the alley then enter the building as the city streets are being flooded. Continue moving forth until you find the stairs. Once the door to the rooftops are open, engage the enemies and kill the tangos ahead.
The building will collapse and you'll get washed along the strong current. Rorke will eventually grab unto you and pull you out of the water. An enemy patrol will be checking out the building so hide underwater and wait for Rorke to finish off the guy in the rear. Walk a bit in the corridor and Rorke will have you go underwater in the next room to finish off one of the enemies. After taking the patrol out, pick up a weapon from the dead guys and continue following Rorke upstairs. You'll see that the city is breaking down fast so cross the nearby bridge quickly and head to the next building. You'll find two enemies in the next room so eliminate them and collect the intel on the table. Continue upstairs and kill all the enemies on the rooftop.
You'll hear the distress message from Merrick. Follow Rorke and make your way to the nearby hotel. However, enemy forces are already being dropped along the way. Engage them and take them out. Move from cover to cover – even underwater to avoid getting pummeled by enemy gunfire. Make sure to kill all enemies within sight before moving forth. Continue ahead and you'll eventually regroup with Merrick. Fight off the enemies in the other building. Once cleared, cross the makeshift bridge formed by piled debris and vehicles swept by the current.
Once you've reached the next building, take cover and fight off the enemy resistance ahead. You can flank them by going around the debris to the left. Keep going until you find more enemies in the hotel's penthouse. Clear the area and continue along the hallway to reach the chopper while taking off.
Wrestle the handgun out of the target's bodyguard's hand then use it to finish him off. Almagro will knock you down and will attempt to finish you off but Rorke will be able to pounce on him. Pick up the handgun and finish the target off. After the chopper crashes, you'll start sliding off from the wreck. Press L2+R2/ LT+RT to grab the wire and reach out Rorke's hand. You have no choice but to let go; otherwise you'll end up going down as well. The mission will be complete once Rorke falls down to the current below.
