A patrol has gone missing in the bone fields between the Canyon Camp and the Four Pillars.

 

Locate the missing patrol

 

Travel to the marked area, and take out the group of giant spiders that ate your allies. Loot the chest next to the caravan to complete the quest.

The university of Orlais has requested nevarrite and volcanic aurum samples for a geological survey of the hissing wastes.

 

Gather the survey samples (x20 Nevarrite, x6 Volcanic aurum)

 

Both of these materials can be found in this area. Collect enough and return to a requisiton officer in any camp to complete.

A page was recovered from a log book that was apparently kept by someone studying old dwarven ruins. Perhaps there are additional pages to be found deeper in the Hissing Wastes.

There is a sizeable Venatori presence in the Hissing Wastes. It is an odd place for them to be dispatched at all, let alone in such significant numbers.

 

Go to the war table to stop Venatori advancing in the west (Power cost: 20)

 

Fast travel to the area once you have unlocked it via the operation Stop venatori activity in the west.

 

Search the Venatori camp north of the Cove (+600 Influence, +2 Power)

 

Travel to the north and fight the Venatori at the camp to the north-north-west of The Cove Camp.

 

Search the Venatori camp near the canyon (+150 Influence)

 

Travel to the north-west of Logging Camp, into the marked area, and examine the book on a table in the centre of the Venatori Canyon Camp to complete this objective.

 

Search the Venatori camp known as the Watchtower

 

Travel to the Sunstop Mountain Camp, and kill the enemies there to find this book.

 

Search the Venatori camp in the mountains

 

Head to the mountains at the marked location and take out the Venatori troops there.  After passing through some wooden barricaded areas with Venatori in them, there will be an area with an Overseer.  In here is the book needed to complete this part.

 

Once all the separate parts are complete, the quest will finish.

 

 

 

The tomb of Fairel (reward: +2000 Influence, +3 Power) *Note: Mage required

From: The Inquisition, automatically after arriving

Rumors tell of a grand treasure buried in a tomb in the Hissing Wastes. Explore the Wastes, using any available clues and maps to find it.

Follow the treasure map to the tomb

 

The map can be viewed by pressing the Related Codex button while viewing the quest in the log. The area you need to search is the tomb underneath Sand Crags Camp. A book will be lying on the table to give you a clue to another tomb and treasure. To complete this part of the quest, you will need to light the torches in the order that makes the story whole. Failure to do this will summon two rage demons. The order is:
This is the tale of Fairel…
who, against their father's wishes…
For pride these halls were made…
And for loss these halls were made…
Once the torches are lit, the door will open. Inside you can find the first fragment.

 

Find the mountain fortress tomb's treasure

 

To the east of Mountain Fortress Camp, is the entrance to the tomb. Head all the way down to find the pillars with the tablets.
The order to light the veilfire is:
The sun burned…
but in the sand…
Fairel hewed the stone…
And with his sons' help…
Once the torches are lit, the door will open. Inside you can find another fragment.

 

Find the graveyard tomb's treasure *Note: This clue can be found to the north-west of Logging Camp, in a Venatori camp

 

This can be found to the south-east of Logging Camp, in the Burial Grounds area. Here you will find some large statue monuments of dwarves. In this section the tablets are further apart than in other tombs. They are all in the area on stone pillars next to ruins.

but each ruled differently…
And where one brother fell…
Once the torches are lit, the door will open. Inside you can find another fragment.

Find the canyon tomb's treasure

 

This tomb can be found to the east of Canyon Camp. Again, light the torches in the order that the story makes sense.
The order is:
After many years Fairel…
And with the burden growing…
He bade each son swear…
and the brothers swore…
Once the torches are lit, the door will open. Inside you can find another fragment.

Find the statue tomb's treasure

 

This tomb can be found to the north of Statue Camp (look for a colossus statue half buried, and a landmark).
The order to light the fires is:
Fairel, Paragon, fled…
the strift that destroyed thaigs…
His own clan…
the surface…
Once the torches are lit, the door will open. Inside you can find another fragment.

 

Enter the Tomb of Fairel and retrieve the dwarven relics

 

This final tomb can be found to the far east of Sand Grags Camp. Be aware that in the area before it is a High Dragon (Sandy Howler). You can skirt around the dragon without angering it if you wish to enter the tomb without killing it (or it killing you).
