Level 3 – Exploratory Laboratory

When the heroes enter, Green Goblin will be hovering in the doorway. Upon seeing them though he will flee through the now locked security doors. Take note of the fact that the regular Oscorp employees will not attack unless they are attacked first.

Minikit 01/10 – Destroy four paintings + Gold barrier + Mind control:

 

From where you begin the level there should be a gold framed painting on the wall. Use a fire based hero (eg: The Human Torch) to burn it away. The second painting is in the hallway after completing the second area. The third is in the right corner of the third area, to the right of the giant statue. The fourth and final one requires a bit more thought. In the tunnel security section, there will be a scientist with a ? over his head through the right wall. Use a character with mind control (eg: Loki) to get him to activate the lever in his lab. This will open a grille in the tunnel that Mr Fantastic can use to get into the lab on the left hand side. The final painting is inside, ripe for the melting. And with that, the minikit is yours

Use Black Widow's superior intellect to break the code on the door (watch the sequence of colour flashes and then repeat the code). The door should open to the next area.

Minikit 02/10 – Magnetism + Super Intelligence:

 

After getting through the first locked door, there will be a room in the back of the area with two large batteries on the floor. Use a magnetic powered character (eg: Magneto) to lift them up into place. This will open the room next door. Inside is a puzzle that requires a super intelligent hero (eg: Black Widow) to replicate the DNA pattern on the right side of the machine. This will open the nearby chamber for the second minikit.

In this next laboratory space there will be a large silver lego lump leaning against the wall. Blow it up with Hawkeye's explosive arrows to reveal the pieces of the door lock control panel. Once again perform the code mini game with Black Widow to advance.

 

As you enter the hallway between areas Green Goblin will barge past, lowering the security shutters. Use Spider-man's spider sense to detect the web handle and pull it open. As you enter the next room Green Goblin will be hovering and throwing pumpkin bombs at anyone in range. Use a targeted shot to quickly get him on the run again.

Minikit 03/10 – Super strength + Shield switch:

 

On the left wall will be two green handles, a large hero (eg: The Hulk) can grab these and rip out part of the wall. Behind it is a shield switch for Captain America to activate. The third minikit will appear in front of the dancing statue/ hologram.

As Green Goblin makes his exit he will destroy the elevator shaft as well. Jump over the newly created gap and use Spider-man's spider sense to detect the scalable wall nearby. This will allow him to climb up and smash open the container housing the ladder control lever. Pull it to let your allies up.

 

Overhead will be a silver lego object waiting for Hawkeye to explode it. Oblige it and attack a rope to the newly revealed rope point. Climb up and use the rope point to lower the bridge across. As the heroes reach the top of the shaft, Green Goblin will buzz past again. This time he opens up the security tunnel for the heroes (wasn't that nice?).

Minikit 04/10 – Mind control + Mr Fantastic + Electricity + Claw switch:

 

In the security tunnel, mind control the scientist (with a mind control character eg: Loki) in the lab on the right and make him open the grille in the tunnel. Use Mr Fantastic with it to reach the lab on the left. In the back corner of the room are two electrical panels. Use an electricity based hero (eg: Thor) to activate them. This will raise a claw switch for a clawed character (eg: Wolverine) to activate. This will teleport the minikit over to the left lab for you to claim.

Head to the blockage and activate Spider-man's spider sense to detect the two web spots. Yank the wall apart to show a hidden silver lego surface. A quick explosive arrow from Hawkeye will clear the way. The security lasers beyond are Black Widow's forte.

 

Turn on here cloaking device and stroll through the high tech detectors before jumping up to flip the switch at the end. A rope pull point will be on the left side of the door so let one of the other two characters handle it. Time to meet Ozcorp's green receptionist.

Minikit 05/10 – Dig spot:

 

In the garbage compactor area if you move to the right side of the room there is a ladder leading downwards. At the bottom there is a dig spot for a clawed hero (eg: Wolverine) to unearth. Inside is the fifth minikit.

After being dumped (reminiscent of star wars here) into the garbage pit our heroes will be on a platform between two compactor arms. Overhead is a silver lego object for Hawkeye to destroy. Construct the fallen pieces to make a ladder up. Use Hawkeye's explosive arrows on the two silver blocks holding up the neon sign.

 

Head over to where the sign was with Spider-man and use his spider sense to spot the two rope spots above. Climb up the fallen debris to reach the second floor.

Minikit 06/10 – Rebuild three spiders + Super strength + Telekinesis + Symbiote:

 

In the upper right area of the garbage room is a glowing yellow wall. Use a large character (eg: The Hulk) to break it down. Inside is the first dismantled spider to reconstruct. Nearby is a glowing purple pressure valve that can be turned by a character with telekinesis (ie: Jean Gray). After twisting it the pieces will rain down to the walkway below. Construct them to create your second dismantled spider. In the three floor symbiote ooze area there are some canisters that can be destroyed on the second floor to reveal a symbiote pit. Swap to a symbiote based character (eg: Venom) to drop into the containment cell below. Destroy the objects inside to get the parts for your final spider. The spider will open the door to the minikit.

Climb to the third floor to find a control panel for Black Widow to interact with. This rotates the giant pillar and opens several arrow holes for Hawkeye to plug. Swing your way up as Black Widow and once you land, activate her cloak and pull the lever. This opens the ladder to climb up and onwards.

 

 

When our heroes reach the new floor Venom will briefly appear before scuttling away. Head down the corridor and jump over or destroy the large crates in the way. Take Spider-man to the end room and attach to the two web points.

 

The machine will spit out some parts that can be assembled into an arrow slot for Hawkeye. Plug it with Hawkeye, then swing up with Black Widow. The control panel up here controls the generator for this level. Watch as things on this floor go nuts and then drop back down.

Minikit 07/10 – Ice + Flame:

 

Once the cryo-cell doors are open, inside one cell is a puddle water made of lego blocks. Use an ice based character (eg: Loki) to freeze the water. Then use a flame based character (eg: The Human Torch) to melt the ice and reveal the minikit.

Run back across the now powered up lab, dealing with the enemies that burst out to bar your path. Clear out the enemies that appear after Venom retreats. The area needs to be clear as there are two switches that need to be stood on to get through the doorway.

Minikit 08/10 – Golden barrier:

 

In the large cell to the left of the doorway is a golden vent, burn it away with a flame based hero (eg: The Human Torch) to uncover the eighth minikit.

One switch is located in the large cells on both sides of the door. Get two heroes to stand on them to open it up. Head into the newly opened hallway. Due to the ooze barrier however you won't be able to get far.

 

Destroy everything in this small area to gather all the pieces to build a large speaker. Use the web point on the side to turn it up to eleven and clear your path. Enter the new hallway beyond.

Stan Lee – Magnetism + Claw switch:

 

On the left side of the hall is a magnetic box, open it up with a magnetic based character (eg: Magneto) to reveal a claw switch. Swap in a character with claws (eg: Wolverine) to activate it and release Stan Lee.

 

 

Minikit 09/10 – Magnetism + Claw switch:

 

The minikit will be in one of the other cryo chambers which open up when you release Stan Lee (the above collectible).

Run down the hallway to meet up with Venom once again for a split second. Destroy the wave of attackers he sends at your heroes and then use Hawkeye to explode both control panels at the end of the corridor.

 

Two web points will show up after they stop spinning so rip down the panels with Spider-man. The resulting fires will remove the ooze from our heroes path, allowing your squad to face Venom.

Boss: Venom

 

 

Attacks:

Ooze minions – Venom doesn't attack directly but waves of oozed minions will constantly spawn and attack you in melee and throw exploding bombs at aerial heroes.

Minikit 10/10 – Power cosmic:

 

During the battle with Venom, on the second floor balcony are two smashable containers that can be reconstructed into a handle to open the nearby safe. Use a character with the power cosmic (eg: Galactus) to construct this handle and grab the final minikit.

Shortly after the initial enemy swarm, Venom will drop down to taunt you. The destroyed pieces of the tube he landed on can be made into a speaker to weaken him and make him fall to the floor. Run up and damage him for the first hit point.

 

Continue defeating Venom's minions until an enemy bursts out of a containment cell along the back wall. Inside is a switch to pull to open up a symbiote containment device (wow, that's convenient). Venom will reappear shortly afterwards. Hop onto the device and aim it at Venom, then let rip with the flame shot. Venom will destroy the device and then hunch over while he burns. Run up and smack him again to keep up the pressure.

 

Venom will then jump onto a crane to the right. Use Spider-man's spider sense to spot the web points, web them and pull away for some more pieces to drop. Construct the bell, aim and fire at the clapper to stun Venom for the final time. Run up and deliver the finishing blow to end the fight.
