Level 4 – Rock Up At The Lock Up

When our heroes start the level, they will be on the sea swept outer area of the prison. A bride between the two sides will be the first obstacle to their progress.

Minikit 01/10 – Destroy five life rings:

 

As soon as you start the level there will be a life ring immediately to your heroes right. The second ring is down a small slope, next to the water's edge. The third ring is on the far right side of this area after crossing the bridge. The fourth ring is of two another floor, left of the huge green doorway. The final ring is to the right of the huge green doorway, next to some red canisters. Destroy them all for the first minikit.

Fly across with Iron Man and reconstruct the pushable lever. Push it real good to raise the bridge and let your allies across.

Minikit 02/10 – Explosives + Flight:

 

On the far right side of the area (in the water) is a small wooden boat with silver lego blocks inside. Fly an explosives hero over to it (eg: Iron Man – Mark 6) and blast the silver blocks to obtain minikit two.

At the nearby dig point, get Wolverine to dig up the green handles for the Hulk. Build them onto the wall and use the Hulk to pull down the wall. This is the elevator to raise the Hulk upstairs but it is not active yet.

Minikit 03/10 – Magnetism + Flight:

 

On the far left side of the area is a hole blocked by metal bars. Use a magnetic character to pull them out and then use a flying character to fly over and collect it.

Use Wolverine's super sense to detect the climbable wall and start clawing your way up. In the right corner of the upper area is a claw switch for Wolverine to activate. This powers up the lift below and lets the Hulk join in the fun.

 

As your heroes traipse along their merry way to the left, two red laser barriers will block the path. Four silver lego rocket turrets will spawn out of the walls and need to be destroyed by Iron Man before the laser barrier will fade out. Get the Hulk to toss the green handled barrier away to access the left side of the area.

Stan Lee Mr Fantastic + Super sense + Web spot:

 

After disabling the red laser fields and using the green handles to open the path your heroes will move to the left side of the area to find a metal grille on the ground. Use Mr Fantastic to squeeze in and reach Stan Lee. Use a character with Super sense and web shot capabilities (eg: Spider-man) to detect and then use the web spots and free Stan Lee.

 

Minikit 04/10 – Web spot + Ice:

 

Down near the waters edge in the lower part of this area is a sewer hatch with a web spot on it. Use a web based character (eg: Spider-man) to open it up. Water blocks will pour out onto the ground. Use an ice based character (eg: Loki) to create a fishing rod and reel up the fourth minikit.

Use Wolverine's super sense next to the blue grille on the left wall. A climbable path will appear for Wolverine. At the top is a yellow cracked wall that can be slashed apart by Wolverine. Use Iron Man on the control panel inside to remove the locks on the large door and open it up. Head inside the huge metal door (dealing with the waves of thugs as you go). Behind the pallets stacked against the back wall is a yellow crack that Wolverine can slash open. Head inside to enter the next area.

 

Whiplash will be charging electrical currents and devices here to slow the heroes down. Around the corner your troops also run into the Leader. This guy has mind control powers and telekinetic abilities. The first thing he does is construct a giant glowing green shield, surrounded by debris. Use Iron Man to destroy the floating objects. After they are all gone, the Leader will drop to the ground and mind contol any approaching characters. Fortunately he can only stop one at a time, so swap characters and run up to give him a smack. One shot is all it takes to get rid of him thankfully.

 

Head down the now clear path to find a super sense location, which reveals a yellow cracked wall to slash open and then another super sense location that reveals a climbable wall. At the top is a claw switch to activate which opens up the door to the other side of the area.

Minikit 05/10 – Magnetism + Mr Fantastic:

 

Next to the giant electrical current will be a set of metal bars to rip open with a magnetic character (eg: Magneto). Inside are some objects to destroy. The pieces reconstruct into a grille that Mr Fantastic can use to reach the adjacent cell and the fifth minikit.

 

Minikit 06/10 – Magnetism:

 

On the far right side of the electrical area, there will be a magnetic dumpster. Use a magnetic based character to lift it up and shake it. Shake the next piece of garbage. And the last to obtain the minikit.

Whiplash will move across to the right side to create an electrical shield (heh, Abomination's teddy. Classic). Destroy some canisters on the right to get the pieces to build a switch. This sends feedback all the way back to Whiplash and shorts out the circuit.

Minikit 07/10 – Super sense + Web shot + Golden barrier:

 

Directly above Abomination are two web shot locations (after destroying the sign) that can be detected by a super sense character (eg: Spider-man). Use the web shot to reveal a golden door. Swap to a flame character (eg: The Human Torch) and burn the outline to drop the minikit pieces to the floor. Assemble it to obtain the seventh minikit.

Use Wolverine's super sense to detect the green handles underneath Abomination. Then pull out the platform for a chain to rise up and latch itself to the overhang above. Send up Wolverine and use his super sense to find the climbable wall.

 

Fly Iron Man up to destroy the silver lego chain on the doorway. Then destroy the second door and the silver lego rubble in the back corner to get the pieces to make a claw switch for Wolverine to activate. This opens up the door to the security room for our heroes. Jump out the window and travel round to the security room.

Minikit 08/10 – Super sense + Electricity:

 

In the camera control room on the left hand side will be a super sense area. Use a character with super sense to reveal the electrical panel. Use an electricity based hero (eg: Thor) to charge the panel and then activate the control pad that appears. When the map comes up, move the cursor to the minikit icon to obtain the eigth minikit.

Head over to the switch on the left side of the room to bring up the camera map. Move the cursor to each question mark in turn until you find Sabretooth. Jarvis will then open up the doors for the heroes to confront Sabretooth.

 

The bottom will drop out of Iron Man's stock and the Hulk and Wolverine will be left to continue the fight by themselves.

Mini-boss: Magneto And Sabretooth

 

 

Attacks:

 

Neither of the mutants will attack you directly (they leave that to the goon squad instead).

 

 

Goons will come at your heroes thick and fast and whenever you try to attack Sabretooth with the Hulk or Wolverine, he will just leap away. That is, until every goon is destroyed.

 

Once they have all fallen to bits, Magneto will stop the lift (knocking down parts to make a green handled trolley to throw at the now floating Sabretooth. Don't worry too much about missing as a replacement item will appear if you botch the throw. When it connects the first point of damage has been dealt.

 

More goons arrive and Sabretooth resumes his leap + run away strategy. The lift will stop again and once more there will be parts for a green handled object (this time a sofa). Build and throw to deal the next point of damage.

 

The final wave of goons will spawn for this fight (and yes, Sabretooth is still invincible until they are all dead). Clear the decks for Magneto to…. wait for it…. raise two platforms instead of one. Two piles of constructable pieces will appear. Throw them both to deal the final blow and finish the fight.

Boss: Abomination And Sabretooth

 

 

Attacks:

 

Slam – Abomination will run up to a character and start smacking them around. Keep out of range when possible to avoid this attack (you cannot directly damage him anyway unless he is stunned). Deals one heart of damage.

 

Poison breath – When Abomination is near a character his stench will force them backwards, away from him. This attack does no damage but is annoying when trying to meet an objective.

 

Missile – After each successful spotlight stun, Sabretooth will use his helicopter's missiles to destroy the spotlight. Doesn't damage the heroes and is a scripted event.

 

 

Looks like Abomination wants a rematch with the Hulk and Wolverine is stuck in the middle.

Minikit 09/10 – Fix three disabled robots + Dig Spot + Sand:

 

During the battle with Abomination and Sabretooth there will be debris on the left side of the area (right next to the hatchway) that can be destroyed to reveal a dig spot. Use a clawed hero (eg: Wolverine) to dig up the rubble and spout the pieces for a generator. Assemble it to give the nearby switch power and then pull it to rescue the first robot. On the right side of the battle area is a crate that can be destroyed to reveal a sandpit. Use a sand based character (eg: Sandman) to become a cannon and rescue the second robot. In the upper area of the read building is a doorway that can be opened up to reveal the final distressed robot and your minikit.

Wolverine will be your main controlled character for this fight as the Hulk cannot reach the upper areas where the searchlights are. These searchlights are used to temporarily blind Abomination and let the Hulk perform a quick time sequence on him to deal a point of damage each time.

 

To reach the first spotlight, head to the back of the area and dig at the dig spot with Wolverine to find the pieces for a ladder. Build it and use Wolverine's super sense to find the climbable wall up to the spotlight.

 

When you get to the top take control of the spotlight and aim it at Abomination. He will stop and shield his eyes, once the bar is full this is your opportunity to run over as the Hulk and initiate the quick time event for the first point of damage.

 

Sabretooth will then missile the spotlight to pieces. Wolverine will automatically drop back down to the bottom area and the search for the next spotlight begins. On the right side of the area, there should be a yellow (or green if you are the Hulk) partway up the wall. Jump up as the Hulk and smash it open to spray a bunch of tires on the ground.

 

Swap to Wolverine and construct the trampoline from the tires. Jumping up from this leads to a wall jump surface and at the top a switch which brings up the second spotlight. Repeat the blind and bash strategy to deal the second point of damage. After the second spotlight is destroyed an elevator will open up, releasing some more thugs.

Minikit 10/10 – Flight:

 

As the fight nears it's conclusion, thugs will come out of an elevator. To reach the upper spotlight, the heroes must go this way anyway. If you use a character with flying (eg: The Human Torch), at the top of the elevator shaft is the final minikit.

Head for the newly opened elevator and take it to the upper floor to reach two acrobatic poles to swing up with. When you land, two more goons will come out of a nearby door. After disposing of them, head into the door to flip the switch that raises the third and final spotlight. Shine and bash once more and the fight is finally over.
