The poor man's snipetrooper, boombots aren't very menacing on their own, but getting one in the back during a fight can be lethal. Luckily, killing one often blows up the whole swarm, and even thrown daggers are enough to set off this reaction, if you see them early. A good weapon against them is a long distance gun with armor-pierce and autofire, like Hollywood's or Braddock's, but note that melee killing a boombot doesn't actually detonate it- making Scherazade a surprisingly effective boombot killer.
