Optional Objectives:
- Tackle the pickpocket
- Use the smoke bombs to escape the combat
For now, follow Stede Bonnet. You'll eventually reach a general store. Purchase a pair of British Cutlasses since they're cheaper and they have the same stats as their Spanish counterpart.
Next, you have to climb the nearby church tower and synchronize to find the tavern Stede is looking for. After synchronizing, perform a Leap of Faith and chase the pickpocket. After catching up to him, you can tackle him or take him out. You need to tackle him to get a 100% memory synchronization.
After getting the money, return to Stede and follow him to the tavern. After the scene, you have to defend yourself by hand-to-hand combat. This is a tutorial regarding how to defend yourself against multiple enemies using counters and reversals.
After taking out drunken patrons, the town's soldiers will arrive. You have to use Smoke Bombs to make your escape or to easily kill the enemies. Use the smoke bombs since they're part of the optional mission then make your escape. The hostile zone will be marked in red. To successfully escape, hide in yellow haystacks to become invisible then leave the hostile area to complete the simulation.
