Mission 3: The Antidote

Seems like we'll need to find an antidote before we get any answers to it's back to the elevator and down to the car park. Which has suddenly become infested with possessed citizens. If you line both up, a single combo can wipe them both out before they even know what is happening. Another two will appear after the first pair are dispatched so continue the whip-fest. Once you are done, there is a font through the hole in the wall if you need to recharge. When you are ready, follow the arrow on the mini map until you reach a door with a glowing orange sphere on it. Remember what this means? Swap to your chaos claws and launch a chaos bomb at the door to clear it. Flames will now block your path instead. Swap to the void sword and freeze the pipe on the roof to your right. This will back up the sprinkler system and force it to unleash on the flames below. Down the now flame free passage, hop in the elevator and ride it.

Jump out to see that things aren't going well in town. Looks like there's a lot of possessed citizenry to take care of. Four of them are in the area you walk into. By now you should be fine to face these guys so just keep in mind they can hit multiple times when they attack so just dodging the first swing doesn't always work. Your AoE swing is quite handy against these foes if you have leveled it a bit as well. After you have cleared the starting area, head towards the lit up letters on the building ahead. A large group of possessed citizens will be waiting as you cross the bridge. Use your crowd control attacks and perfect blocks to make the fight easy (or just take out one at a time and use finishers to replenish your health).

Chaos Gem: Head past the glowing letters and use the grapple point on the right wall and climb up to find the pain box.

Head through the hole in the wall underneath the glowing letters into the bookstore. Use the shadow portal to turn into a rat and squeeze through the grille next to the counter (not the one up off the ground, the other one). The duct is (for once) free of hazards so just scuttle along until you reach the other end. Use the shadow portal in the new room to turn back. The other grille in the wall leads back the way we came. So instead, climb the fallen bookshelf and use the grapple point to reach the upper area. Drop down to the alley below.

Memorial: Turn left when you land and you can find this behind a dumpster.

Head along the alley until you reach another possessed citizen. This smart-alec has a fire axe that gives him unblockable attacks so approach him warily. His attacks and movements are slower but he hits harder. Thankfully there is only one of him so use you single target whip attacks to stay out of his range and still damage him. Smack them down and move on. Two more will be down below (one with a lead pipe) so drop down from above like a terrible flasher of the night and glomp them to death.

Continue along the path (jumping over the gaping holes in the ground) until you reach a courtyard with a large fountain. When you arrive, possessed citizens will rise from the ground and attack. After defeating around six or so, the area will be clear once more. Look to the right side of the building for a sparking cable, underneath it is a grapple point but don't use it yet. A junction box on a post to the right (in the air) is the source of this crackling menace. Throw a shadow dagger at it to stop the current and you can safely clamber up and into the building.

After the cut-scene, the door at the other end of the showers will be open so head on through. As you do, turn to your right and smash down the door to reveal an office. On the wall will be a grapple point that takes you through a hole in the wall. Drop down and use the shadow portal to squeeze through the nearby grille. This leads through another room to some holes in the floor. Drop down to the lower level. In the room you land in are a handful of possessed citizens so head around the beds to the right into an alcove to find a shadow portal. Change back and let the possessed citizens have it.

Now the room is clear, head down the nearby stairs and follow them down until two soldiers appear. These guys are still as annoying as ever with shields and unblockable attacks. Use your chaos claws (if you have any magic) to break their shields. This makes them much easier to damage.

Void Gem: Around the corner from the glowing lever are three streams of flame that can be extinguished with your void projectile. Inside is a pain box.

Once they have bitten the dust you will need to follow the instructions for the above collectible to get into the turbine area. Use the wheel crank on the wall to power up the turbines and then return to the golden lever in the previous area. This opens up a door to the right of the lever so head on in.

Chaos Gem: Use the grapple point directly in front of you to climb up and find the pain box.

If you head up and grab the previous collectible and then head out to the main reception area, three soldiers (one with a shield) will spawn and attack. With new projectile attacks and life leech (if you stand still) abilities, these enemies are beginning to get more dangerous. Use your void sword if you need to as these guys can be nasty foes.

Once you are done, climb the nearby stairs up two floors and enter the door in front of you. Nearby is the shower entrance you came in from). Two possessed citizens will drop down from the roof and attack you in here so take them out quickly or else the cramped quarters will give them the advantage.

Memorial: In the room next to where the possessed citizens drop down.

Nearby is an elevator to operate, which leaves you in yet another alley. Drop down to the large open area (gee, I wonder what will happen here…) and get attacked by four possessed citizens. After dealing with the first three, the final one will get crushed by a large mech (kind of like Titanfall really). Looks like Dracula doesn't care which leads to a fight.

The riot police are fast and like using ranged attacks to chip away at your health. The main problem is their armour. Depending on your upgrade path or stored chaos magic you will have to make the choice on how to get rid of their shields. Concentrate on one at a time and destroy their shields quickly to avoid taking unnecessary damage. Once their shields are gone they are much easier to damage and will after a few hits be ready for finishing off. Just be aggressive with your chaos magic and they should fall quickly.

Head through the newly opened fence and flip the lever within. This opens the door nearby before the power abruptly goes out again. Head down the new stairs and out on the balcony. A lower balcony to the right as you emerge can be used to drop down and then a ladder lets you down to a good vantage point to see some riot police fighting possessed citizens. You can actually just run past this fight if you want and reach the science center. If not, use whatever tactics suit you and take down the riot police.

Head for the arrow on the mini map to find a hatch that drops you down into a tunnel network. Follow it until it opens into a large room and drop down for two riot police to appear (glad you skipped the previous fight yet?). Charge into them with your dodge to knock them down and stop them from attacking and take care of the shields ASAP to keep your health intact. This fight is easier than the three ones as less machine gun fire is in the air but it can still be tough on harder difficulties as, without chaining you won't have replenished any chaos magic.

Memorial: In the same room against the wall

Once they are done, climb up the nearby grapple points to find a magic font (would have helped earlier, wouldn't it?). Head down the tube and drop down in the stairwell. The large doors nearby will open up and so will the one on the nearby corridor inside. Head along it to find some ice to melt with your chaos bomb and a lever to then pull. Jump and move down the platforms after the decontamination chamber opens.

Chaos Gem: On the third platform down is the pain box (can't miss it).
