The Storm Coast

SIDEQUESTS – The Storm Coast

Antivenom requisition on the coast (reward: +100 Influence, +1 Power)

From: Requisition officer at any camp site in Storm Coast

Inquisition forces on the coast need antivenom to cope with a persistent spider infestation.

Gather antivenom ingredients (x10 elfroot, x5 spider ichor)

Elfroot can be found practically everywhere in most areas, giant spiders on the other hand are easiest to find in caves around the Storm Coast. Create the requisition back at any camp site.

Cleaning house (reward: +280 Influence, +2 Power)

From: The Inquisition (automatic after arriving at Storm Coast for the first time)

Inquisition soldiers were dispatched to meet with a group of bandits operating on the Storm Coast. The Inquisition lost contact with its soldiers before their planned rendezvous with the bandits.

Advance to the rendezvous point

The point you need to reach is right on top of a hill with bandit swarming over the top. You'll want to clear them out before opening the door to the shacks here to discover what happened to your troops. You can also look at the map in the shack as well.

Find the bandits and deal with them

Optional: Requisition Mercy's Crest to challenge the bandit leader (+50 Influence, +1 Power, +Agent) *Read the note in the shack where you found the bodies

To make the mercy's crest, you'll need x2 serpentstone and x1 deepstalker hide. Return to camp and make the crest. Deepstalker hide can be obtained by killing deepstalkers in caves in the area, serpentstone can be found in the area scattered in the rocks. Once you've made the crest, be sure to equip it on your character.

Now it's time to find the bandits, tromp your way through the rain to the marker on the map. Turns out the bandits actually have a decent camp. Enter and talk to the bandit leader to challenge him to a duel. If you don't have the crest, you will need to attack all the bandits, and your reward for the mission will be less.

Your whole party will fight against the leader and his two war mabaris, if you've got your 'mark of the rift' attack charged, it can make the fight much easier. Once the leader and his dogs go down, the camp is yours.

Holding the Storm Coast (reward: +50 Influence, +1 Power for each camp set up)

From: The Inquisition (automatic after arriving at Storm Coast for the first time)

Establish camps to hold the storm coast and support Inquisition activity in the region.

Camps established (3)

Quite a simple quest, if a bit time consuming. All you need to do is to travel to each of the indicated camp sites on the map and claim them. This enables fast travel between camp sites and will make your exploration far quicker and easier.

Iron survey on the coast (reward: +100 Influence, +1 Power)

From: Requisition officer at any camp site in Storm Coast

The university of Orlais has requested iron and serpentstone samples for a geological survey of the Storm Coast.

Fill the requisition (x5 serpentstone, x10 iron)

Iron can be found in plentiful supply in rocky areas in most regions. Serpentstone is slightly rarer, but still quite common amongst the crags of the Storm Coast. Return to the requisition table to complete the quest.

Keeping the darkspawn down (reward: +200 Influence, +1 Power) *Make sure a mage is in your party to close the tunnels

From: Completing the reports of darkspawn activity operation

A surprising number of darkspawn are surfacing on the storm coast and it's up to the Inquisition to put them down. They appear to be surfacing through tunnels. If these tunnels are sealed, it should keep the darkspawn underground where they belong.

Tunnels sealed (4)

Be careful approacing the tunnel entrances as they will be guarded by horlock alphas and other darkspawn forces or even just giant spiders. Use the terrain of the area to your advantage and rain down projectiles on the unwary darkspawn when possible. When the entrance is clear, you will need to swap to your mage (or do it yourself if you are a mage) to close the entrance. Repeat this for each remaining entrance to complete the quest.

Red water (reward: +200 Influence, +2 Power)

From: Completing the red templars on the Storm Coast operation in the war room

A small group of Inquisition soldiers were dispatched to investigate a dwarvern port on the Storm Coast that is currently being held by red templars. The port gives the red templars a foothold in the region. The soldiers have cleared the way to storm the port.

Storm the red templar stronghold

Fast travel to the driftwood margin camp and travel North-West to find the red templar stronghold. Go through the now-open door and follow the linear path to reach the templar forces. The enemies here were around 19-20 and included behemoths and regular red templars, so be careful moving forward. There are several red lyrium deposits you can smash here as well for Varric's sidequest.

Keep pressing deeper into the stronghold, dealing with the templar shadows and marksmen. Once you've killed all the enemies in the stronghold, the quest is over.

(Dwarven Banner Crown found in one of the rooms here)

(Restore the port on the Storm Coast operation unlocked)

You can also use the boat at the far end of the stronghold to reach "Dragon Island."

Rift at the falls (reward: +200 Influence, +2 Power)

From: The Inquisition (automatic when you claim driftwood margin camp)

An active fade rift has been spotted near lyrium falls

Fade rift closed

Rifts in the coast (reward: Various, see below)

From: The Inquisition (automatic after arriving at Storm Coast for the first time)

Active fade rifts have been spotted on Morrin's Outlook and near Morrin's Steps on the coast

Fade rifts closed (2)

West rift (+200 Influence, +2 Power)

South west rift (+80 Influence, +1 Power)

Salvage requisition on the coast (reward: +1 Power)

From: Requisition officer at any camp site in Storm Coast

A number of derelict ships that washed ashore are salvageable and could be repaired for the Inquisition's use.

Gather repair materials (x5 cotton, x5 deepstalker hide)

Deepstalker hide can be obtained by killing deepstalkers in the cave areas of the Storm Coast. Cotton is easiest to find by killing human enemies in most areas.

Vigilance on the coast (reward: )

From: The Inquisition (operations map)

There are reports of a small group of grey wardens traveling along the northern coast of Ferelden in an area known as the Storm Coast.

Power required (4)

Once you have enough power, head to the operations map and complete the operation to unlock the Storm Coast.

Wardens of the coast (reward: +80 Influence, +1 Power)

From: The Inquisition (automatic after arriving at Storm Coast for the first time)

There are signs that several grey wardens passed through the area, but scouts have been unable to track them with the bandits around.

Signs of the wardens (4)

Make your way to each marked location and use the advanced search to find the required items. Despite the quest focusing on the Wardens, you don't get any approval for having Blackwall in your party.
