Abilities
Rocket Launcher: Pharah’s primary ability is a rocket launcher that has a high damage output, but takes time for the rocket to reach its target.
Jump Jet: Pharah’s jet pack sends her soaring into the air, high above the enemy team.
Concussive Blast: A wrist-fired rocket that knocks back any enemies caught in the blast.
Barrage: Pharah unleashes a flurry of rockets at her enemies.
Tactics
Though it may be tempting to fly around high above your enemies as Pharah, it may not always be the best tactic. High in the air, Pharah can't move fast enough to be a difficult target for snipers. Not only can she easily be picked out of the sky, but her rockets are easy to dodge at that range. The best way to play as Pharah is to move around closer to the ground, maneuvering quickly around the map and dodging when necessary. Your rockets not only cause hit damage but splash damage as well, as you can easily disable turrets or Bastion Sentries while moving around unpredictably enough to make yourself a difficult target. Stay close to the ground until you need to escape, and then use your flying ability to flank and find a different point of attack. The one time you do want to get high off the ground is when you're using your ultimate ability, Barrage. Get some distance and lay down fire on groups, focusing on the enemies that can deal damage over long range. You can also use this if you can corner a group up close, but since you will be stationary, you could be easily eliminated mid Barrage.
Pro-Tip
When using your ultimate, first jump into the air. This way, you can rain down hellfire from far above, and induce significant damage before the enemy is locked on to your position.
Strong Against:
Junkrat: All of Junkrats attacks are ground-based, allowing Pharah to easily dodge them.
Reaper: Due to Reaper’s close range weapons, Pharah can eliminate him from a ranged position with ease.
Weak Against:
Roadhog: If Pharah is hooked by Roadhog, she can be instantly disposed of.
Solider 76: Soldier 76 can easily take down Pharah while she unleashes her barrage.

Story
Fareeha Amari's commitment to duty runs in her blood. She comes from a long line of highly decorated soldiers and burns with the desire to serve with honor.
As a child, Fareeha dreamed of following in her mother's footsteps and joining the global peacekeeping force, Overwatch. She enlisted in the Egyptian army, and her dogged persistence and tactical prowess caused her to rise up through the officer ranks. She was a courageous leader and earned the loyalty of all who served under her. With her exemplary record, Fareeha was well placed to join the ranks of Overwatch, but before she had that opportunity, Overwatch was disbanded.
After leaving the army with a commendation for distinguished service, she was offered employment with Helix Security International, a private security firm contracted to defend the artificial intelligence research facility beneath the Giza Plateau. The top-secret facility was touted as vital to the safety of not only the region but countries across the globe. Fareeha gladly accepted the choice assignment and received training in the Raptora Mark VI, an experimental combat suit designed for rapid mobility and devastating firepower.
Under the call sign "Pharah," she works to safeguard the AI installation. Though she mourns Overwatch's passing, she still dreams of fighting the good fight and making a difference on a global scale.
