Soldier: 76s high damage pulse rifle can easily dispatch most enemies while his Biotic Field and Sprint ability make for a dynamic and familiar warrior.
Heavy Pulse Rifle: High powered and incredibly accurate, Soldier: 76s primary weapon is one of the strongest primary weapons in the game.
Helix Rockets: Three tiny rockets fly from the pulse rifle, and the resulting explosion has decent damage output in a small radius.
Sprint: A sprint option that has no recharge time or cooldown, but weapons cannot be fired while this ability is active.
Biotic Field: A device that can heal not only Soldier: 76 but all of his teammates nearby. Can instantly turn the tide of battle in a tough moment.
Tactical Visor: Soldier: 76s ultimate auto-targets enemies and dispatches all of them with ease.
76's Pulse Rifle deals great damage from short to medium range, and because of this works great to eliminate enemies as they approach an objective. Bigger targets should be your focus, as you can more easily target them with bullets and rounds of Helix Rockets. He's best used in this way, focusing fire on the bigger and slower enemies at medium range, sprinting to cover when your health is too low. Biotic Field is also great for holding down a position when taking fire, deploying that will allow you and your teammates to regain health while you lay down supporting fire. Medium range is always your friend with Soldier 76, especially when using Tactical Visor. When you activate your ultimate, your auto-targeting faculties will allow you to eliminate enemies regardless of their speed. The ultimate is best used to focus fire on the faster, weaker enemies to quickly take them out of the fight.
Your ultimate is great for dealing with smaller, lighter enemies, but it won't be as effective versus the tank heroes. Or damage output is unchanged, and you won't be able to secure damage boosting headshots. It's best to keep your distance and allow your auto targeting to do the work for you.
Pharah: Even with the drop off damage from long distance shots with the Pulse Rifle, 76s massive damage output paired with the tactical visor can easily eliminate Pharah.
Tracer: Tracer’s low health makes her an easy target for Soldier: 76, just beware of her teleport ability.
Roadhog: Considering Roadhogs limited range of fire, it’s easy for a 76 to take him out from a distance.
Bastion: Although 76 is fast, he has limited abilities regarding map traversal, making him an easy target if he’s down-range of a turreted Bastion.
Reinhardt: The only major issue when combating this hero is his shield. It can easily soak up all of 76s ammo while Reinhardt closes in for the kill.
